Health Insurance and You: Health Insurance in America

Health insurance is a number one issue in America, as it should be, since almost 48 million people are without any health coverage at all. To make things worse, people are losing their jobs to outsourcing firms, which is making it harder for them to survive.

Think about it: You have a job one day and do not on the next, so that leaves you to find a way to just pay your bills on time, to have enough food for you and your family to eat, have enough money to buy the outrageous-priced gas for your vehicle and other expenses.

Furthermore, the last thing you would need is another bill to pay, like a health insurance plan or something of that nature, so what are you going to do when you or one of your family members become ill and need medical attention?

Sure, you can still go to the emergency room to receive medical care, but they will charge you an "arm and a leg" for this service. Many private physicians will not accept patients that cannot pay for their care, if they have no insurance or other means to pay, which leaves you with very little options for getting medical care.

You could say the government should make healthcare affordable and accessible to all, by offering subsidized healthcare to all U.S. citizens, but this would be too expensive and time consuming for the government to do.

In short, the government cares only about your vote and not how many bills you have to pay for how many times you or your family members become sick and need backup to help you with your expenses.

The thing now is alternative healthcare, which would be good, if you are in need of an inexpensive way of having health coverage and saving some money on your medical expenses. This could be a route that you want to take, if you are in dire need of some form of health coverage, without all the mumbo-jumbo, that comes with applying through a traditional health insurance company.
